Trying to decide when to schedule your newborn photos? I recommend scheduling your session within the first 7-14 days of the baby’s birth. During this time, the baby is more likely to stay alseep for longer periods of time, making it easier to pose baby for photos.

Not sure when to reach out to a photographer about newborn photos? It’s never too early! The sooner a photographer can get your due date on their books, the better. Especially if you are due durning Holiday season.

Deciding between your nursery and a studio session? AKP has a stuio with a warm and cozy environment that is often a popular choice. Alternatively, you can opt for a lifestyle shoot at your family’s home. Keep in mind for a lifestyle shoot, your home is the backdrop, so make sure you love the setting.

We will get things started with a design consult at the studio. You will be able to come to the studio, see all of the props that AKP has to offer, and choose which ones you want to use for your session. You will also get to see all of the products that I offer for purchase after your session. Here we will also set a tenative date for your session based off of your due date.

After baby is born, we will set a new date (if needed) if your newborn session. During your session, all you have to do is sit back and relax while I handle all things baby. I may only need you for a feeding or two! You will get to watch the entire session unfold infront of your eyes. Once, I am done shooting, we will set a date for your reveal session.

Reveal session day consist of, you coming back to the studio to watch a slideshow of your beautiful baby (it’s okay if you cry, I have tissues for you!) After your slideshow, together we will choose which photos are your absolute favorite and how you will want to display them.
