Mary Kate’s In-Studio Newborn Session, Berwick, Louisiana

Mary Kate is the second daughter of TJ and Grace. I had the pleasure of working with TJ and Grace for their first baby girl, Lucy, newborn photos and 1 year photos. It was such a joy to capture their second babies photos as well. It is one of my greatest accomplishments when I get to photograph multiple children for one family.

For Mary Kate’s session we went with pinks and purples. Grace was able to pick out all of the props that she wanted to use out of the prop room to customize the session to her liking. We had a meeting prior to their session to discuss the different products they wanted to purchase for their home and of course all of the colors, props, and style she wanted to go with.

Session day rolls around and it was pouring outside, thank goodness for the overhang in front of the studio! The whole family came! We took sibling photos, family photos and photos of Mary Kate by herself. It was a great day!

After Mary Kate’s session, Grace and I popped on a zoom call to pick out Mary Kate’s images. They live out of town from the studio, so a zoom call was more practical than Grace and TJ driving back to Berwick to pick out photos. I created a slide show of Mary Kate’s images for Grace to watch and then we picked out the ones that Grace really loved!

I can’t thank Grace and TJ enough for allowing me to not only capture their first baby’s photos, but their second baby as well. This is why I love my job, creating memories for families that will last a lifetime.
